Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition – March 20, 2025

I’ve played Xenoblade Chronicles 1, 2, and 3 many times over the years, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to try out X since I’m not the biggest fan of the Wii U. But now, just as I had hoped, Xenoblade Chronicles And additional content that includes new story elements.

In this entry of the game, the year is 2054 and Earth has been destroyed by an intergalactic war between two alien races. You’ve crash-landed on an unruly planet and must help bring humanity back from the brink of extinction. Pilot machines, build the community of New Los Angeles, and explore the sprawling alien world.

Little Nightmares 3 – TBD, 2025

Well, I’ve been looking forward to this game for a while, and the fact that Supermassive Games is the studio behind it has made me even more excited. Much like the previous two horror games, Little Nightmares III features platforming and puzzle gameplay in a 3D world with a dark environment.

While the mechanics are something I’ve always enjoyed in the Little Nightmares games, there’s a feature in 3rd Edition that was absent from the first two, and it always surprises me that Little Nightmares II doesn’t have: multiplayer. Finally, being able to play with someone else feels like a dream, although I love that you can still play through the game alone – not everyone has a gaming buddy, after all.

Decabolik – TBC, 2025

Since its first look, Decapolice has been one of the most anticipated Switch games. Unfortunately, we’ve seen many delays over the past few years, so it seems like wishful thinking that we’ll see Decabolic release date In 2025 – but we show it, okay? The only thing that could make me more excited about this is if Totodile turns out to be the starting option. This cute little alligator needs a little more love, and Mega Feraligater is going to make Ami.

Professor Layton and the New World of Steam – TBC, 2025

It’s almost 2025 and we still don’t have concrete Professor Layton and the New World of Steam release datebut thanks to the new Level 5 trailer, I’m even more confident that this game will finally be released in 2025, and I can’t wait. I’m not usually a fan of detective games, but the engaging visuals and bizarre puzzles of the Professor Layton series have always been an exception for me. Plus, my partner absolutely adores this series, so we can’t wait to play it together.

This seventh entry in the main Professor Layton series takes place in the Steam Bison, a bustling Steampunk center of technological innovation. But of course, all is not as it seems, so Locke and Professor Layton must interrogate citizens, collect evidence, and solve hundreds of new mysteries to uncover the secret of the new steampunk world.

Floatopia – TBC, 2025

A game with cute, round characters? Hunting, grooming, and oh, superpowers? Sign me up! Floatopia feels like a mix between the best of Animal Crossing and Pop Mart and lets you spend days away on a floating island surrounded by friends and adorable animals.

NetEase announced the Switch game, and I nearly jumped out of my seat. I’m very excited to jump into this super cute world and see how it transforms into a free-to-play live service title. I’m no stranger to Gacha gamesAnd you can bet your cupcakes I’ll be turning them into clothes, furniture, or anything sweet that appears on the signs. Now excuse me as I anxiously await confirmation Flotopia release date.

The Abyss 2 – TBC, 2025

Supergiant Games caught me with Hades, so when Hades 2 released in Early Access on Steam and the Epic Games Store, I literally dropped everything in order to plug an embarrassing amount of hours into it. Even in Early Access, it seems to be fully realized and a very worthy successor to Zagreus and co. The narrative shifts from the son of Hades to his daughter, the chthonic goddess, Melinoe, with a new quest and… Hades 2 letters Which is just as engaging as the original game.

Weaving such a beautiful story into a fast-paced roguelike is something Supergiant Games excels at, and I’m crossing every finger and toe that Hades 2 finds its way out of the Underworld and onto the Switch. Both the original and the sequel are ideal for mobile devices, with the original being ported to mobile thanks to Netflix Games, but Supergiant has yet to confirm which consoles it intends to release Hades 2 on. I’m sending all my prayers and food to Hera as we speak (because we all know she runs Olympus behind the scenes).

Metroid Prime Beyond – TBC, 2025

Wait for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Seems like an eternity, doesn’t it? Originally announced by Nintendo at E3 2017, the follow-up to Metroid Prime 3: Corruption has lived a quiet life behind the scenes at Retro Studios for the past few years. Although the arrival of the gorgeous Metroid Prime remaster has left me wanting some Samus action on my trusty Switch, I’m more than ready for a brand new sci-fi tale.

I’ve rewatched this exciting trailer several times, and it never fails to get me excited. Roaming Morph Balls, gritty first-person combat, and the return of Sylux? Stock up now, Nintendo.

Deltarune Chapter 3 and 4 – TBC, 2025

The second chapter of Deltarune feels like a distant memory right now, and I was desperate for more from the second I finished it. Well, it now looks like we may not be too far away from that Deltarune Part 3 release date It is scheduled to be released alongside Chapter 4 as well! If you’re new to the series, Deltarune sees you controlling Kris, a young human destined to save the world alongside a monster named Susie, and Ralsei, a prince from the Dark World.

It has a gorgeous, vibrant pixel world, a captivating story, and some funny dialogue that will make you forget that you’re not playing a AAA game with a huge team behind it. I highly recommend trying out the first two chapters for free in the lead up to the new installments later this year.

Genshin Impact – TBC, 2025?

I swear, trailer for Genshin Impact Switch Existed, it wasn’t just a collective fever dream. Once again this year, I hope the hugely successful Hoyoverse game will be released on a Nintendo console. The amount of content you get in this game for free without having to spend any money at all is amazing.

Genshin Impact is one of the best games on mobile and consoles, and its reputation is well deserved. The story is an interesting one, set in a fantasy world with many different biomes and cultures to explore, where a vibrant and ever-expanding cast of characters are waiting to meet you. Don’t let the gacha system put you off, this game is a great open world adventure with some of the most interesting battles, and a whimsical story that is sure to entertain you.
