A simple mistake from Gainward or one of its distribution partners may have accidentally leaked the box design for the upcoming RTX 5080, giving us a sneak peek (via com. wxnod At X) a few hours ago. Furthermore, if this leak holds up, it confirms every rumor so far regarding the RTX 5080’s memory specs. Get ready, as the next couple of hours will be full of exciting announcements from Intel, AMD, and Nvidia.
The box packaging reveals several key components, including the logo typeface and memory specifications. With the RTX 40 series, Nvidia changed things up by incorporating a new font into its logo design for the GPU’s codename, which is Nvidia Sans NALA. Likewise, the box mentions 16GB of memory using the newer and faster GDDR7 standard. Previous rumors claim that the RTX 5080 will be adopted 30 Gbps modulescompared to 28 Gbps for the remaining Blackwell stack. Over the also popular 256-bit memory interface, this will produce 960 GB/s of bandwidth; Nearly 34% more than the RTX 4080.
Furthermore, we can see that the GPU comes with a standard three-year warranty from Gainward. The front of the box doesn’t offer much information but the back is where all the juicy details should lie, for example, about a possible DLSS 4. Unfortunately, the image is limited to just one angle, so there’s only so much we can make out. It looks like we’ll need to wait for Nvidia to fill out the official details.
that it The alleged one The RTX 5080 will be powered by an Nvidia GB203-400-A1 die packed with 10,752 CUDA cores or 84 SMs, 16GB of GDDR7 memory, and a 256-bit interface. Recently, it leaked Reviewer The RTX 5080’s power reaches 360 watts, which represents an increase of 40 watts over its Ada Lovelace counterpart. This isn’t a huge surprise given that Blackwell on the desktop is expected to use TSMC’s custom 4NP process which isn’t a full node jump over the 4N used in the RTX 40 series; Both are 5nm technologies.
B100 and B200 flakes show approximately a 30% increase in density due to the newer process. Nvidia was able to extract such an increase because 4NP likely adds metal layers to the standard N4P node. For now, Nvidia will debut Blackwell in a few hours with its initial desktop lineup Rumor To include the RTX 5090, RTX 5080, and RTX 5070 graphics processing units.
