While the player was trying to enjoy Wild Hearts, they noticed that the visuals were “very muddy, blurry, and mixed together.”

Instead of putting up with that, they decided to experiment with the HDR settings and see if that would make a difference.

“I decided to disable HDR support in the Xbox settings, and it made a huge difference. I think disabling HDR in game doesn’t tell your TV that it shouldn’t be in HDR mode.

The original poster answers Further down in the thread to specify which change fixed it, “My suggestion doesn’t help with resolution or frames per second, but should result in a ‘cleaner’ image since HDR doesn’t amplify detail and contrast in the image.”

If this is something you’ve noticed in any of your games, it’s worth experimenting with your settings and seeing if you get the same result.

All you have to do is follow the path, Settings > General > TV & Display Options > Video Modes, and change the options.

Answered by BetterWhenDrunk He explains further“This sounds like the typical ‘HDRn’t’ experience of HDR playback on a display that’s not good enough to actually reproduce HDR content, but this is typically more for use with HDR PC displays than HDR TVs.”

Given the number of options that are turned on by default, it’s always worth looking at your console or display to see what improves the experience.
