Crimson Desert In the year It has horses, fishing, plate armor and bravery, but one thing it’s missing is a release date. Now, thanks to the Geoff Awards, that has changed! Well, sort of – Crimson Desert is set sometime in late 2025.
If you’re unfamiliar with the game, you play as Cliff who explores the open world of Pywel. You fight goblins and medieval people in the open world. You ride wyverns. Do some rock climbing, cooking, maybe a puzzle. Apparently, there are “air abysses” that promise “endless discoveries”. Alice B. (RPS in Peace) I thought The first demo was reminiscent of the Assassin’s Creed mid-game, when it was “a little silly.” What do I think? I think it looks like it’s trying to do too much and probably succumbs to this and ends up with a 6/10 experience for everyone involved. Hmmm, that sounds really cool – I could do with more middle-of-the-road silliness.
Our James gave the game a whirl at this year’s Gamescom and it wasn’t all That’s what he said. He was impressed by it. While he thought the show was clearly a fight-oriented show, he found the fighting to be “difficult” and “impossible”. He describes his exploration as “delightfully insane” in those brief moments outside of swordplay, which is surprisingly interesting. Read the full preview over here.
