After all these years, Fallout 4 It is the gift that keeps on giving. Bethesda has dropped its next-gen update and the modding scene shows no signs of slowing down, with new creations popping up every day. We’ve got Fallout London in the form of DLC, and there are so many mods that want to completely rewrite what it means to play the game. One such project is Project Arroyo, and while we’re waiting to finally experience it in its entirety, the mod team behind it has wowed us with delicious appetizers. Not only that, we also have an excellent in-universe commercial that could be out of the games as well.
Fallout 4: Project Arroyo is a fan-made remake that aims to completely recreate Black Isle’s Fallout 2 within Bethesda’s game. The mod team aims to build the original game from the ground up while including cut content and expansion parts of the game RPG that you need. Arroyo’s project certainly seems like a tall order, but the team’s latest update gives me a lot of faith in his ability to pull it off. Fall mode 4 on.
This update comes in the form of the Pip-Boy 2000 mod, which you can download and use in Fallout 4 now. The Project Arroyo team has done their best to recreate Pip-Boy from Fallout 2, integrating him seamlessly into FO4. You can choose from numerous skins, watch all-new custom animations, and walk around with an older piece of retro-futuristic technology on your wrist.
It’s not just the Pip-Boy 2000, as the Project Arroyo team has also released a fan-made commercial for the product in-universe. This trailer goes beyond what I’ve seen in most mods of this size, and perfectly encapsulates the 1950s-inspired, retro-futuristic setting that the entire Fallout series has been built on.
As for what the Project Arroyo model will contain, the team has provided us with Updated last year. “We are shrinking areas of little interest (such as empty desert areas), (while) at the same time expanding existing Fallout 2 locations,” the team wrote. “So they feel as important as they did in the original game, making the seamless play space roughly twice the size of Fallout 4.
You can find the Project Arroyo team’s Pip-Boy 2000 model on Nexus Mods here.
We’ve also rounded up all the essentials Console commands in Fallout 4 Besides everything we know about Fallout 5 release date.
