Marvel’s First Family is coming Marvel competitors almost! NetEase confirmed the addition of The Fantastic Four to the roster today, with the full reveal scheduled for January 6, 2025.

The announcement was accompanied by a first look at the group’s art style in the game. Like the other characters, NetEase’s designs are on point.

First look at Marvel Rivals Fantastic Four

According to NetEase, the trailer for The Fantastic Four will be released on January 6 at 8 AM PT/11 AM EST. Although nothing has been officially announced, leaks have pegged the foursome to be part of the lineup for the first season, which launches sometime this month.

Don’t expect all four heroes to be released at once, as NetEase will likely release each one at different intervals to get the gaming community acclimated to each one before the next member is available.

The four members of the group seem pretty clear on which chapter they’ll end up in, with the exception of Mister Fantastic. Human Torch will undoubtedly be a duelist (damage) champion due to his abilities, while The Thing will definitely be a vanguard (tank) due to his strength and durability. Sue Storm, also known as The Invisible Woman, is likely a strategic (supporting) character. Mister Fantastic is the odd one out, as the hero can fit into all three roles due to his flexible powers. If I had to guess, he’d be another duelist with all kinds of movement and damage related to stretching.

The most interesting thing here is what Team-Ups NetEase has prepared, and whether it will be exclusive to the group or give additional benefits to other characters.

Aside from The Fantastic Four, NetEase has just been released New skins for Squirrel Girl and Moon Knight Which should be available for players to purchase starting today. There too Crossover events have been announced With other Marvel games scheduled to launch tomorrow, January 3rd.

Expect another Marvel Rivals event before the end of the month, as the Lunar New Year (Chinese New Year) will take place on January 29, 2025. With Chinese company NetEase, we expect to share a host of holiday-themed skins and more celebrations.
