At Saber Interactive Excited Some of the content that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 fans can look forward to in 2025. This year, the team plans to add a new PvP map along with custom PvP lobbies, more PvE content, including Prestige Rank, and a Battle Barge expansion in Datavault skin, a new Salamander hero for Season Pass owners, and more.

While we’ll need to wait until “later 2025” for the next Horde Mode to come out – a feature I’m very excited about! – Season 3 will introduce the Prestige rank for PvE, which will give you more upgrades for your favorite classes. More new operations and enemies will also arrive in the coming months along with new rewards and another difficulty level to overcome.

Season Pass owners will also be able to unlock a new Salamander Sniper hero for PvE and PvP. “The obvious choice for a Sniper hero would have been to become a Raven Guard, but we have different plans for them,” says Saber, “so we can look forward to a Raven Guard hero in the future – surely that would be for Assault, right?

Space Marine 2 devs tease 2025 content

As for new PvP content, custom lobbies will arrive with patch 7.0, allowing you to host up to 6v6 matches, change time and score limits, and remove limits on the number of players who can use each class. There’s a new map on the way as well, though we don’t currently have a name for it. Saber says: “Its events will take place in a closed environment with many narrow corridors, which will force you to engage more in closed four-way battles.”

Finally, there’s the Battle Barge, which will be getting an upgrade this year along with new customization items to represent “distinctive classes from the Warhammer 40K universe,” such as the Mark VI Corvus. The Battle Barge expansion will add the Datavault – a new area filled with unlockable information that you can purchase with currency tied to in-game achievements.
