Hello everyone! 2024 has been another great year for indie games, and today, I’m super excited to share 11 of my favorite games released on PlayStation this year.
Pacific Drive is a ‘light road’ style survival game, where you navigate a stormy and mysterious forest with your car as your only companion. Every time you go on a ride, your car will slowly break down due to strange anomalies, and you must safely return to your garage. Otherwise, you are required to start over. You can restore and upgrade your car using resources collected during your rides. Each trip into the wilderness is unique and random, which makes the gameplay more interesting and addictive.
The pixel art world of this beautiful game feels somewhat nostalgic yet completely fresh, with surreal lighting illuminating the map. Animal Well is a Metroidvania game full of endless surprises. The sense of accomplishment you’ll feel after beating challenging platforming sections and mysterious puzzles is truly unique and exhilarating.
The hugely popular PC game Vampire Survival is now available on PlayStation. Players awaken as weak vampires and hunt for the blood of enemies and animals to regain their strength and gain powers to conquer the map. As vampires, players are vulnerable to sunlight. You must hide in the shade and avoid exposure to sunlight in order to survive during the day.
When you were a child, did you ever pretend that you could only move by jumping from shadow to shadow? SCHiM lets you relive those nostalgic moments by playing as a frog-like creature that can only navigate the map by stepping between shadows. It’s also a visually stunning game thanks to its unique color palette and art style.

Palworld is an indie game coming from Japan, and it is an open world, crafting and survival game filled with amazing creatures (Pals), that revolutionized the gaming world. The gameplay loop of gathering friends, expanding your base, and venturing abroad is extremely addictive and hard to put down.

A new game brought to life by Red Candle Games, the studio behind Detention and Devotion. Inspired by Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Nine Sols is a solid action game that focuses on twist-based combat. Making the perfect tackle and counter-attack is extremely rewarding and invigorating. The atmosphere mixes cyberpunk, ancient Chinese mythology and Taoism, and is also unique and fascinating.
A mix of poker and roguelike? You may be thinking, “What is this?” But once you start, you won’t be able to stop. This globally successful game is made by one developer. amazing!
