Reactivation of transformers development ends as damage from spray confirms demobilization plans


Spray damage It announced that it would be laying off an undisclosed number of jobs as the studio ended development of Transformers: Reactivate.

Here’s what the company said today in a post on X:

Today, we have some very difficult news to share, as the decision has been made to end development of Transformers: Reactivate. This means we will be downsizing to refocus our efforts on other projects. Unfortunately, despite all efforts, a number of roles across the studio are now potentially at risk of redundancy.

This decision did not come easily, and it is a difficult time for the studio and our staff. We want to take a moment to thank the team behind Transformers for their dedication and passion. Hasbro has been a great and supportive partner throughout, and we hope to work with them again. For many fans, your enthusiasm and support has helped keep us going.

Transformers: Reactivate was announced just over two years ago for PC and consoles, and was slated to take the form of a co-op action game for one or four players.
