PS3 emulation is on the roadmap for the company behind PS Plus Classics

Implicit transfers, the company involved in the transfer PlayStation Classics to PS Plus and PS Storelooking at PS3 emulation. As rumors continue to circulate that Sony is trying to bring specific PS3 games to PS5 natively, implied transfers have confirmed that efforts are underway, but there’s no guarantee they’ll come to fruition.

Hawk Eyes lovers spotted a Road map It was posted on the Implicit Conversion website, which states that the company is “researching and prototyping the possibility of a PlayStation 3 emulator package for (Emulation Engine) Drink.”

Implicit Conversions added the PS3 emulation project to its roadmap a month ago, and changed its status to “I’m Dreaming” just a week ago, suggesting it still has a way to go before we see results, if any.

Technology experts said that despite all the efforts, emulating the PS3 will not be easy as the console’s cell structure will still be a major hurdle. But recently, YouTube user I played around with an AMD BC-25 mining card and PS5 silicon, and was able to run Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and LittleBigPlanet 3 via the RPCS3 emulator with no issues.

However, Implicit Conversions is working on a commercial solution rather than a personal project, so it remains to be seen if we’ll finally be able to play PS3 games natively on PS5.
