Sony It has finally been revealed PlayStation Plus Free Games for January, and one of the featured games has been labeled a “Piece of Art” by the community.
This month’s PlayStation Plus Essential games are Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remasteredand Stanley Proverb: Ultra Deluxe Edition.
A “piece of art” is not Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguebefore you ask.
In a thread on the r/PlayStationPlus subreddit detailing the news, it’s pretty clear that one specific game got a lot more love than the other two games on the list.
“Very happy about Stanley Parable,” he commented. User GuardianOfReason“Honestly the headline for me.”
“Stanley Parable is amazing,” he replied. User Norehsk“It’s not a game that everyone will love, but considering its status and how innovative the game is, this is a little piece of art and I highly recommend everyone to at least give it a try.”
However, even though everyone had positive things to say about The Stanley Parable, a lot of commenters were still unhappy with the overall offerings this month.
“This month is going to be roasted,” he commented. User ajs723“Stanley Parable and Need for Speed are the price of a cup of coffee on Steam, and Suicide Squad is a sentence of funny words.”
“The other two don’t interest me personally, although Stanley Parable has gotten some good praise, I think,” he declared. User TomClark83“Maybe the weakest January lineup in a good few years.”
It’s no secret that the quality of monthly PlayStation Plus Essential games has slowly deteriorated over the past few months, at least compared to the monetary value of the games you can claim.
On the positive side, at least Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League It’s supposed to become a fully single-player game later this year, so at least the game won’t be out a few days after it lands on PlayStation Plus.
