Path of Exile 2: How to Increase Soul

How to increase soul in Path of Exile 2

There are three basic ways to get more soul in Path of Exile 2. By default, every build starts with zero soul, meaning you can’t utilize any soul gems at the start of the game.

Fortunately, each player will end up with at least 30 souls very close to the first scene. From there, it’s up to you to earn more of them.

Below, we’ll show you all the ways you can increase your building’s spirit.

Defeating bosses for soul items

The default way Path of Exile 2 players can do this Increase their spirit It is through defeating specific bosses. These bosses can drop items that boost your soul by a certain amount when you consume them.

For example, in the first chapter, you take on the quest “The Ominous Massacres” in the Freethorn region. Your goal here is to destroy and clear three altars scattered around the map. Once this is done, you must destroy the final altar guarded by a named boss “The King in the Mist.”

It’s difficult to beat the King in the Mists, but once you do, they’ll drop an item called the “Gembloom Skull”.

Use gear that boosts the spirit

The next way you can boost your Spirit in Path of Exile 2 is by equipping gear pieces that specifically increase Spirit.

If you find a new piece of gear, whether it’s a weapon or armor, look at its attachments by hovering over the gear icon. If one of the suffixes is a soul augmentation, you may want to consider equipping it.

Two main examples of gear that increases Soul are the Scepter, which boosts Soul by +100, and the Solar Amulet. The mace, in particular, will make a big difference, but it’s a one-handed weapon that you’ll need to equip yourself.

If your build uses a two-handed weapon or a shield in the far hand, you probably won’t be able to use the mace. Fortunately, something like a Solar Amulet or other piece of gear can make up for this loss, if you can find gear with the Soul perk.

For those who are having bad gear luck, you can always try using orbs that give your items additional titles. One of those random titles could be Soul Augmentation.

You can also try to gamble with the random gear vendor and get some gear with the Soul Attachment that way as well.

Play as an Infernal

The final way you can increase your soul in Path of Exile 2 is to play as an Infernal. This is a climb to Witch classso you will not be able to play as an Infernal during your first play experience with the build.

However, as you progress to the endgame with your witch, you will eventually be able to select Ascendancy. This opens up a new skill tree with lots of additional nodes to choose from. One of these nodes is called the Will of Bidat, and it boosts your soul by one for every 25 lifetimes maximum.

This means that if you have high life stats, you can get more soul without having to equip specific equipment or fight specific bosses.

The complex will make part of your life reserved for the spirit, so you are essentially trading health for the spirit. If that’s something you can live with, it’s a worthwhile node to get as an Infernal Sorceress.

Choosing to go this route allows you to locate more nodes that enhance life on the road as well. So you can easily find a way to replace lost life using the Will of Bidat while keeping the spirit strengthened.
