New Genshin Impact competitor begins 2025 with beta testing

Etherea: Reboot 2025 kicks off right by letting you into a closed beta, where you can experience the story, combat, customization, and much more in this turn-based RPG. The game is produced by XD Inc and will be coming to mobile and PC platforms, with cross-platform synchronization.

This is the second beta version of Etheria – the first test took place in late summer 2024, but was only available in China. The data has not been migrated and it is likely that this data will not be migrated either.

So, what is the game? It is a turn-based game focused on team building and set in a virtual world. Here, people coexist with whoever can use hostile powers, but all is not well, as a threat looms in the form of a global freeze. Your mission is to fight with a carefully designed team, equipped with weapons and equipment.

This year’s CBT lets you dive into combat and test the PVP system in the game arena. There’s also a PVE mode, which promises to deliver excellently animated battles that use strategy through a turn-based setting.

We are mostly excited to meet the characters on display. The official website so far shows 14 figures – including males and females, although the ratio swings towards the latter – with complex and fun designs. The characters appear to use a classic set of items, along with different weapons in combat. Etheria has a similar art style to Games like Genshin Impact And Wuthering Waves, so we’re very intrigued.
