“In response to requests from players who were unable to participate the first time or simply want to play again,” the second open beta will be held in February. In addition to including the same content as the first test, Capcom says This second open beta will also include new activities, such as the return of the Gypceros monster, seen in previous Monster Hunter games.
This next test will be available on Xbox Series The first weekend will take place between February 6 at 6pm PT and February 9 at 6.59pm PT (February 7 at 3am GMT to February 10 at 2.59am GMT). As for the second weekend, you will be able to access the beta between February 13 at 6pm PT and February 16 at 6.59pm PT (February 14 at 3am GMT to February 17 at 2.59am GMT).
Players who dive into the second Monster Hunter Wilds open beta will have full access to the character creator for your hunter and Palico – players who participated in the first test will be able to use their same character and save data. The story experience will also be playable, giving you the chance to check out some of the opening scenes and “play through the hunt for the Chatacabra using basic tutorials.”
As for the larger monsters to hunt, Doshaguma Hunt sees you hunting down the alpha of the group while “exploring the vast area on your Seikret and switching between two different types of weapons on the fly while trying out the latest hunts.” The aforementioned Gypceros Hunt will also be available, providing a touch of nostalgia for returning players.
All players who participate in the open beta will receive an Open Beta Test Bonus Necklace and an OBT 2 Bonus Item Pack filled with a host of useful items that will help you start your adventure when the game launches on February 28.
