As one of the starting abilities, A Dash It is widely agreed to be incredibly useful. Allowing you to get closer to your opponents and reducing the opportunity for them to dodge the ball has a huge benefit in the right hands. However, what prevents it from entering S-level is the fact that as a starting ability, it is outclassed by others that offer more unique and useful abilities.

Forsfield It can also be useful, and is great for collision or melee (bouncing between the remaining players) at close range. However, it is also something that the player can easily rely on, while there are other abilities of greater utility and more varied playstyles that can be built upon.

So it can be useful in very specific circumstances, however, the cost involved and the fact that it effectively blocks any other abilities, makes it too specific to be placed anywhere else. The high price of this ability only exacerbates the problem and means that even if you wanted to try it out, getting it in the first place would be a huge hassle.
