In a recent patent, Nintendo appears to be working with Nvidia to implement an AI upgrade in the upcoming console.
The big news is that the package shot confirms the presence of a 3.5-slot cooler and 32GB of GDDR7 memory! That’s twice the memory that’s rumored to be in the RTX 5080 model. That’s a lot of power for a GPU, and we expect it to be fairly pricey if the rest of the rumored specs are anything to go by, as the card draws a whopping 575 watts of power, likely while… Peak usage.
Additionally, as shared by VideoCardz, the rumored specifications for each card in the series can be found below.
Based on these specs alone, and how Nvidia prices the RTX 4000 series cards, we expect prices to range between $1,000 to $2,499 before taxes. That’s for an MSRP, which we don’t expect to stick with all manufacturers, so for those eyeing the best RTX 5090, prepare to spend a fortune on the card.
As with any other leak, take it with a grain of salt until it is officially confirmed or debunked. The wait won’t be long, as Nvidia is expected to unveil its line of RTX 5000 series cards, DLSS 4 and other next-gen features during its keynote tomorrow at CES 2025.
