Lack of PS5/PS5 Pro drive frustrates gamers

The brokers were understandably quick. When the PS5 Pro was fully revealed with details like its price and lack of a boxed drive, the add-on immediately started disappearing and showing up on sites like eBay instead. Instead of storing pro consoles, scalpers have stacked the drives.

I just checked eBay and found pages upon pages of listings for the elusive drive, where the retail price was twice what it was.

It’s unclear why Sony is still manufacturing the drives in very limited quantities, and the company hasn’t made any statement on the matter either — which is a bit strange considering how apologetic Sony has been about the PS5 shortage.
