In a new year to update Published by Hideo Kojima himself, the legendary game maker has provided various updates about his studio’s projects – some positive, others not so much. Regarding Kojima Productions’ Xbox game toWhile progress He was Released throughout 2024, the title appears to have suffered some major setbacks in the latter half of the year.
In this update, Kojima said that “we developed the game (OD) and did actor and environment scanning,” but in the latter part of 2024, “scanning and filming were suspended due to the SAG strike.” Finally, Kojima says the team “hopes to resume” development of the project in 2025.
“Thank you for all your support in 2024. It’s been a year full of so many things: DS2 development, the release of the second trailer, ADR for the cast, music production and recording, and Japanese audio recording. In the summer, we started playing and building the game and were also able to hold an event TGS Theater for the first time in 5 years.
For OD, we developed the game and scanned the actor and environment. In the second half of the year, scanning and photography were suspended due to the SAG strike. The casting process for Physint was also suspended due to the strike. We hope to resume next year.”
