The most anticipated reveal that’s expected to happen during Nvidia’s CES 2025 keynote is the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 The GPU, which is expected to be the most powerful single GPU ever with 50% faster performance than the RTX 4090. Based on the Blackwell architecture that already powers the company’s AI server chips, the new GPU is expected to feature A ridiculous 21,760 CUDA cores, which is 5375 more than RTX 4090.
Along with this flagship card, we also expect to hear at least something about the company’s lower-tier GPUs, e.g RTX 5080, RTX 5070and RTX 5060. These aren’t expected to see as big jumps in performance as the RTX 5090, though, as the rumored CUDA core count isn’t much higher than current equivalent models. However, they are expected to have a faster GDDR7 VRAM which can unlock a lot of performance.
We could also see Nvidia talking about new mobile GPUs for gaming laptops, plus the company has long been rumored to be involved in Nintendo Switch 2 development.
