Albion Online, the medieval fantasy MMORPG from Sandbox Interactive, is dropping its next big Rogue Frontier update. It’s February 3 to be exact, almost a month from now. But we already have all the details on what the first big update of the year has in store.
Albion Online’s Rogue Frontier update is all about smugglers. They are a group of rebels who have grown tired of the strict rules of the Royal Continent and are now staking their claim in the lawless outer regions.
So, they set up shop in secret underground bunkers called Smuggler’s Dens. These dens are your favorite centers for banking, repairs, and planning your next expedition. Each den is part of a smuggler’s network, an intelligent system that connects markets across the outer regions.
The Smugglers have their own faction, and are in constant battle with the Royal Guard. You can help them in all kinds of ways. Such as rescuing captured smugglers from the clutches of their enemies or delivering smuggled goods hidden in smugglers’ boxes.
Maggie Slade, a shady merchant who hangs around the dens, will reward you in lieu of your loyalty. There’s a Smuggler’s Vanity Set, a Smuggler’s Cape with an ability that reduces potion cooldowns, and there’s even a Smuggler’s Ring and Avatar up for grabs.
Kill Trophies are a new addition to Albion Online, thanks to the Rogue Frontier update. They drop when you knock down another player. The better the loot your defeated opponent has, the greater your chance of getting one.
Rogue Frontier also brings some nifty new weapons to Albion Online. The Rotcaller Staff lets you summon a fearsome form that breathes fog and pushes enemies away. The Skystrider Bow lets you fly through the air and drop rain from above. Forcepulse Bracers send shockwaves through your opponents as you rush to attack.
So, check out Albion Online from Google Play Store And get ready for the huge update on February 3rd.
