For Final Fantasy fans on PC looking forward to the second chapter of the trilogy, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, you can play the RPG later this month, almost a year after it was released on PS5 in February 2024. It won’t be a direct port, however, Because Square Enix is adding a few more bells and whistles to the PC version Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on PC features improved visuals compared to the PS5 version
Players can expect the following improvements:
- Improve lighting
- Improved images
- DualSense wireless controller support
- Nvidia DLSS functionality
- Up to 4K and 120 fps
- No mouse and keyboard support
Many graphics options will be available with three presets: low, medium, and high. PC players can also customize the number of on-screen NPCs (non-player-controlled characters) to suit what your hardware can handle.

With the game’s imminent release on PC, Xbox is now the odd man out. That may change soon, given that Square Enix is not happy with the sales numbers From Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth to Final Fantasy 16.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth continues the story left off in 2020’s Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Rather than being a “normal” remake, FF7 Remake and Rebirth create a sort of sequel and alternate timeline of events, so you can expect Cloud, Tifa, and Aerith, The gang’s adventure continues to break away from the original 1997 game on their quest to save the world and change their destinies.
