Is there Andrew Garfield? Spider-Man 4? He has denied it before and he just denied it in the album, but this time admitting that no one believes a word that comes out of his mouth anymore.
The Amazing Spider-Man star narrated GQ magazine that he will not be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Spider-Man 4, which begins filming this summer and will once again star Tom Holland. This despite Garfield appearing as Spider-Man in 2021 Spider-Man: No Way Home the original screen Spidey alongside Tobey Maguire and Holland.
Before the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Garfield repeatedly lied in interviews about his return. in one Ellen DeGeneres Show interviewAfter confirming his appearance in No Way Home, Garfield said: “I lied to the Internet for two years, and it felt great. It was fun keeping it a secret! You know when you’re throwing a surprise birthday party for someone and they say, ‘ I hate surprises, tell me if the party’s happening’… I felt like I was part of throwing a surprise birthday party for a bunch of people I knew.”
Garfield referred to this honesty GQ the conversation “I’m going to disappoint you,” he replied when asked if he’s in Spider-Man 4 . “Yes, no. But I know that from now on no one will trust anything I say.”
Garfield said he would do another big franchise if it was the right thing: “If it fits my soul and if it’s fun. Maybe I’ll have five kids someday, and I’ll have to start saving for school fees or something.”
Spider-Man 4 will be released on July 24, 2026. Directed by Shang-Chi director Destin Daniel Cretton. 2026 will be big for the MCU, with Spider-Man 4 coming out two months later. Avengers: Doomsday.
