AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D
It’s AMD’s fastest and most advanced CPU to date, with 16 or 12 cores and aimed at creators and (especially) gamers. AMD says the new chip will provide an average 8 percent performance boost in gaming frame rates and a 10 percent improvement in other tasks.
AMD Ryzen AI 5, AI 7 and AI Max
The Ryzen AI chip is not an NPU, but a CPU optimized for overall performance, including AI workloads. The first Ryzen AI CPU – the Ryzen AI 300 – was launched in late 2024, and a set of faster tracks in the Ryzen AI Max (available in seven different SKUs) is coming soon. With support for up to 16 cores and 128GB of memory, AMD says the AI Max 50 offers TOPS NPU performance. AMD Radeon RX 9070 series
AMD hasn’t revealed much detail about what will differentiate its latest GPU, other than that the 9070 line will be aimed at mid-range users. More notably, AMD’s naming scheme is evolving to more closely align with how Nvidia names its products. The 9070 and 9070 XT are coming this quarter.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang took the stage in a shiny jacket and spent nearly two hours describing the company’s future plans, and as expected, it’s pretty much all about artificial intelligence. Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 series
To no one’s surprise, Nvidia has announced its new graphics processor, the GeForce RTX 50 series. On the desktop, these GPUs will be available at the end of January 2025.
