Sony announced it during CES 2025 yesterday Horizon Zero Dawn film In association with Columbia Pictures, The last of us season 2April issue, Ghost of Tsushima Legends Animeand Hell Divers 2 film. While the recent announcements have been well-received, a number of players have expressed concerns about the Horizon Zero Dawn adaptation.
What do players say about Horizon Zero Dawn?
Across gaming forums and social media, every post about the Horizon Zero Dawn movie is accompanied by comments referring to Sony “pushing” the franchise.
“I don’t get a boost for this game” wrote one player. Where is the demand to justify this? questioned another. “Why are they so determined to make Horizon a thing?” Books iii. Others echoed similar sentiments.
The Horizon series is one of Sony’s best-selling new IPs of the past decade, with Horizon Zero Dawn alone selling over 20 million copies. While there’s been a recent push from Sony when it comes to the Horizon series – including a remake and a LEGO series – we’ve seen two commercially successful attempts in HBO’s The Last of Us and Uncharted.
It’s no surprise, then, that Sony would want to give its Horizon franchise the Hollywood treatment.
