Witcher IV The game’s director, Sebastian Kalimba, revealed during an interview with Parris Lilly of Gamertag Radio that the upcoming fantasy RPG will feature entirely new areas and creatures, one of which is described as a “tough, tough, tough scoundrel.”
The monster in question is known as Bauk, and is located in one of the “amazing, all-new areas” in The Witcher IV. Kalimba says it’s inspired by Siberian mythology and “plays on your own fears.”
“When you look at The Witcher, the way we approached the word ‘monster’, we have been treating it from a completely different perspective since The Witcher 1,” he explained. In the beginning, players have to deal with a normal monster, then you have humans acting brutal. Then, here, you have inner demons that you have to fight first to finally discover and kill Puck.
